Dr. Jane Jerrard

Dr.Jane Jerrard has been working in Pakistan as an educationalist for 20 years. She served as the Coordinator and the Director of the Primary Education Project for the last 15 years and has provided leadership training at all levels. She was a school principal in the UK prior to moving to Pakistan. She has a doctorate in International Education from the University of Sussex (UK). Her master's dissertation formed the basis for the Initial Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) being used in the project, and her doctoral thesis investigated quality education to promote the long-term sustainability of community schools in low-income countries.
When Dr. Jane first came to Pakistan, she could never have imagined she would still be living, working, and leading her way through rural Sindh 20 years and directing an educational project later. Her dedication to PEP and commitment even in difficult times is an inspiration to both PEP students and the staff.
