AFLATOUN (SOCIAL AND FINANCIAL EDUCATION)

Learning  social and  financial  skills with  aflatoun

Aflatoun provides the basic social and financial skills that forms the building blocks of life for children. We believe that children have unique power that they can use to inspire positive change in their surroundings. Their ability to think, imagine and create makes them innovators. Aflatoun takes out the little innovator in them and empowers the children to do great things for themselves and their communities.

Aflatoun education develops confidence in their personality, nurture their decision making skills, inform them of their rights and teach them how to support themselves financially in an ever growing society. Simply, Aflatoun changes minds!

THE  IMPact  of  aflatoun  in  rural  sindh

Aflatoun through partnership with PEP has targeted the children of rural Sindh to help them develop in their early years. Children in rural Sindh had low prospects due to poverty, illiteracy, bonded labor and other issues that make them a vulnerable target. Through providing social and financial education to these children PEP is equipping them to take action for themselves and creating a positive impact around them.

Through the Aflatoun programme, children are learning about their rights, about money, and enterprise. Children are taking small initiatives, increasing their self confidence and gaining the social and financial skills they need to succeed.

The Aflatoun curriculum is integrated in the additional curriculum of PEP that is especially designed to empower children. The children participate in songs, games and play activities that boosts their character and have started saving projects and financial enterprises that is constantly improving their lives and of their communities.
