Initial Teacher Educational Training (I.T.E.P)
Introduction of I.T.E.P Programme:
The Initial Teacher Education Training Programme (I.T.E.P) developed as a training model through a research study by Miss Jane Jerrard in International Development from Sussex UK. The I.T.E.P model was specially designed for the people, living in rural areas, providing them with quality education for a better future. The I.T.E.P Teacher Training has the most efficient course that has helped many village children to get quality education since 2002.
When Miss Jane Jerrard became the Education Secretary of the Diocese of Hyderabad in 2002, she introduced the I.T.E.P Training Model in all the Diocesan schools. The Purpose Of Teacher Training In PEP
In most of the government schools in rural Sindh, the teachers do not have enough skills to nurture the potential of children. Because of the inadequacy of knowledge and training, teachers either use unjustified attitude with children, or are simply ignorant of how they teach the children. This issue worked as a catalyst for PEP to create a system in schools where teachers were playing the key role for the growth of students. People from local villages were chosen to attend the I.T.E.P after which they were qualified to teach in the PEP schools. The local teachers were equipped with skills that were going to impact the children in the most positive and lenient way, developing leadership as well as impacting the society they were living in. |
